Paul is an experienced HSE professional with more than 40 years extensive international experience in the maritime and petrochemical industries, ports and transport sector including roles as Marine Superintendent, Engineering Manager, Fleet Safety Manager, Port Operations Manager Auditor, Project Manager and Surveyor. Paul is a qualified Ship Master and Mechanical/Production Engineer beginning his career at 17 in the Merchant Navy.

Paul has broad experience in critical risk management, incident investigation, process safety and extensive health, safety and environmental regulatory experience (Principal Maritime Safety Auditor for Maritime New Zealand).

Paul holds a NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), is a registered Health and Safety Practitioner with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), a member of the Nautical Institute, a registered Incorporated Engineer with the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and a registered Ship Surveyor with Maritime New Zealand and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. Paul is based in Blenheim.
